VICTOR HUGO CRUZ

He was born in 1971 in Gualaco, Olancho, Honduras. He graduated from the Honduran National School of Fine Arts and he has worked as a teacher in the artistic Field since 1994.

He finished his Master of Arts degree at the National Pedagogical University of Honduras. He owns 28 years of artistic trajectory. During this artist career he has hold several single and group Art Exhibitions in the Republic of Honduras.

Abroad he's art has been dis- play in several countries such as: Finland, Germany, Ireland, USA, Nicaragua, Panama and Ecuador.

He has received several honorable mentions in different national biennales, the most important are: 2010, Prize for best Sculpture, from I.H.C.I. (Honduran Institute of Inter-American Culture) 2011,Prize for best Painting, from I.H.C.I. (Honduran Institute of Inter-American Culture).

"Much of his work results from a formal analysis of the human body of women, specifically such analysis allows this artist to transform the reference into figures conforming to a decorative operation with which its content is sublimated to a morphological behavior as was intended by the cubists”.
